Independent, evidence-bounded strategy resource

Mandate Order Resource Diagnostic

Choose a visible food, water, manpower, storage, logistics, farming, wood-chain, production or construction problem. The tool returns an ordered field check based on verified qualitative relationships—not hidden formulas.

CITY RESOURCE LEDGER

Trace the first failed handoff.

Choose what is visibly wrong. The diagnostic asks only the observations relevant to that problem, then orders the checks without pretending to know a hidden formula.

How the resource diagnostic works

The tool starts from the symptom you can see, then narrows the inspection to the source, field, labor assignment, storage handoff, route or destination that could interrupt that flow. The order is practical, not a fabricated probability ranking.

Answer Not sure whenever the live interface does not make a condition clear. The result will turn that uncertainty into a visible check instead of treating it as a confirmed game rule.

Verified system relationships

In the current launch build, water is stored at staffed wells and consumed from there rather than moved into granaries. A post station provides a cart-access halo to workers inside it; it is not a transporter that moves items by itself.

The August 20 patch added a Tent water-storage limit control, temporarily increased storage-building capacity and fixed one collection-building resource-detection failure. Those changes add current checks; they do not remove accepted-item, destination, staffing or transport bottlenecks, and they do not prove that every current extractor failure is the fixed bug.

Most generic transport circles and generic warehouse construction were removed or closed for the launch build. Follow an exact item through its visible source, active destination, specialized storage, workers and carrying access instead of relying on older reserve or routing assumptions.

For farming-related food problems, the diagnostic follows the supported seasonal sequence: spring cultivation, summer water, fertilizer and weeding, visible autumn harvest progress, then storage and distribution. It does not calculate crop yield, transport capacity or a best build order.

The August 27 expansion adds focused paths for food collapsing despite farmland, stalled wood-derived materials, and an input that exists while output remains flat. Those paths link to the Production Chain Guide and remain qualitative because current sources do not publish a complete throughput model.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool know the exact cause of every shortage?
No. It converts verified system relationships into an ordered inspection plan. The current Early Access interface remains the authority for what your city is actually showing.
Why does the diagnostic ask about storage when production exists?
Visible source stock does not prove that an item reached an active destination. Check the actual granary, baggage store, armory or building store, then inspect workers and carrying access for that exact item.
Does a result include hidden ratios or probability scores?
No. Current verified sources do not provide the complete formulas needed for that. Results use qualitative, observable checks only.
