Early Access at a glance

Current state
Still unreleased at the latest verification.
Development target
Approximately 12 months in Early Access, according to the current Steam statement.
Platform
Windows PC through Steam; Steam currently lists single-player.
Update approach
Digital Sky plans to use bug reports, gameplay feedback and community discussion during development.

What Steam says the Early Access structure includes

  • City-state construction with freely placed residences, farmland, roads, storage, workshops, military equipment and defensive facilities
  • Production logistics, population needs, public opinion and trade
  • Four-season farming, disease and natural disasters
  • Hundred Schools, retainers, diplomacy, titles and national policy themes
  • Conscription, formations, chariots, real-time warfare, city-wall attack and defense, and enemy invasions

What Digital Sky plans to expand

The current Steam roadmap mentions new maps, terrains, resource and survival conditions, building upgrades, livestock, richer agricultural chains, more retainers, more Hundred Schools content, more national policies, more governance paths, additional unit types and defensive facilities, and richer mid- to late-game goals.

Tutorial quality, performance and compatibility are also explicit areas for improvement. That matters for this guide: Early Access pages need version context, and advice should be checked again after meaningful patches rather than treated as permanent law.
